Milne MicroDried® operates a full-scale production facility in Nampa, ID for the production of all MicroDried fruit and vegetable ingredients and powder products and four IQF processing plants in the Grandview, WA area. Each facility is strategically equipped to maximize production efficiencies and food safety using state-of-the-art technologies to assure product quality at process-critical control points.
MicroDried’s production processes are fully computer automated with touch screen computer technology from receiving to packaging to shipping and have the capacity to meet the needs of the largest food manufacturers in the world.
In 2017, Milne MicroDried is more than doubling its capacity to meet the industrial ingredient needs of customers by adding a second dryer line to its Nampa, Idaho plant. As part of its commitment to the industrial food industry, MicroDried continues to recruit and retain top flight professional and technical talent who are dedicated to responsive customer service and finding innovative solutions for new product applications.
The MicroDried processing plant offers:
- Two production lines using low impact vacuum radiant energy for dehydration
- 53,000 sq. ft. of processing and storage space
- 6,300 sq. ft. of freezer and staging space
- Enclosed and temperature controlled areas for tempering and prep of raw and/or finished fruit for transfer
- Packaging capabilities for 48-gauge metalized PET bags inside a double corrugated boxes
The company is committed to the highest domestic and international certification standards in the industry and has earned BRC’s highest rating possible for the past three years, including an AA rating in 2016. Plant certifications include British Retail Consortium (BRC), AIB International, Washington State Dept. of Agriculture’s (WSDA) Organic Program and Orthodox Union (OU) Kosher. The plant is allergen free.
